Fatigue: A Mess of Strokes

I’m not focusing enough on what I’m doing and its leading to a mess of strokes.

I’ve learned over the years that a painting turns out best when each stroke has some thought behind it. I’m not saying that every stroke has to be carefully deliberated and agonized over but I do have to guard against careless placement and mindless painting. Unfortunately this session was not full of careful, thoughtful work. I’ll have a lot to fix if I keep going this way. Good thing I do these posts daily, I’m able to look at my progress, assess and adjust before getting to far down an incorrect path.
