Fundamentals: Information Flow

For this session I was able to get into the zone and let the visual information flow.

I always believe that all our brains works differently and we have to search for a method that will match with how our brains works. We are able to achieve great drawing results with an unlimited variety of methods, that is one reason why art is so complex. Someone can tell me to draw gestures one way, but I may never fully understand that method. It’s only when I find a method that works well with my thought process that I’m able to relax and let information flow through me.

This is what I was feeling like today. I was able to relax and quickly observe the model while recording what I reserved on paper fairly accurately without a lot of thought getting in the way. The resulting gestures turned out to be a closely accurate rendering of each pose along with and indication of rhythm. I wasn’t pushing gestures as I’m not trying to achieve comic book like action. Instead I wanted accurate proportion to be the top priority while at the same time getting the rhythm of the pose and maybe some good line work. I think I did well on a lot of the poses.
