Portrait Session 2

Young smooth faces are much harder to draw then a face with some history.

I was struggling today with drawing the model as there wasn’t much to grab on to. Her face, while very pretty, didn’t have a lot of interest and was basically void of emotion. The hardest part about portraits like this is that you can’t mess up anything you have to get everything perfect or else it never looks correct. When the features a super subtle the smallest mistake is glaring. Plus I drew her face straight on, which is super hard for me… so I recognized that, and did it twice! Recognize your shortcomings and attack them with practice!
