Having internet trouble tonight so no uploaded images. I will have to add them later.
So I did exactly what I said I was going to do and it worked out really well. I was super focused and took my time on each and every stroke to try and get it as perfect as possible. Eventually I sped up a bit and wasn’t as exact with every thing, but for the most part, every stroke that I laid down was thought out tremendously, the results and my feeling of the painting has turned around 100%. Of course I didn’t get much done as you will see, but at least what I did do was informed, accurate and as educated as possible.
The other awesome thing I did was, I limited my palette down to 5 colors so that I could focus on color changes along with value and drawing. Man I loved the limited palette. I can still make every color in the world but its much easier to think about color when your not looking at a large selection of colors.
My palette from now until whenever is:
- Titanium White
- Cadmium Yellow Pale
- Permanent Alizarin Crimson
- French Ultramarine
- Burnt Umber
I even made a color wheel to consult and posted it next to my easel.
