I had a very busy day today so my daily art post is going to be short and sweet and I’m still very busy right up until the end of my day.
Fandom Fitness Drawing
I wasn’t able to work on the Yoda drawing today but I was able to make the changes I wanted to my Indiana Jones drawing.
Tomorrow I will put more time in on Yoda, until then check out my earlier posts.

Warm-up and DrawABox exercises
Okay, I’ve determined that I really like using graphite pencils for my warm-up. Especially these Mars® Lumograph® black 100B pencils. 8B to be exact.
This is the Rotated boxes exercise from drawabox.com. Not only does it look cool but it’s super challenging.
One Minute Gestures
I used the Mars® Lumograph® black 100B pencils again for my gestures today and the pencil worked wonderfully here also. I’ll have more than enough uses for the charcoal pencils I have but for now I’m going to be using my graphite for a while.
Daily Composition and Daily Sketch
I didn’t have enough time to ponder my daily composition today so I just drew my kiddy napping and my headphones hanging on the wall for my daily sketch.
What went well?
I got art in today even with such a busy day! I make time for my art regardless, even if it’s only 30 minutes. Every day, relentlessly.
What needs work?
On these super busy days I need to get really exact with my schedule to get everything accomplished.
What did I learn?
The Mars® Lumograph® black 100B pencils are my favorite currently for any drawings on newsprint. I just like how they easily slide across the page like all graphite but can also get really dark.
