Life Drawing

My second week of August begins much like the first, with lots of figure drawing from photo.

So far have a specific focus for the month is working tremendously well for me. I don’t have to waste any time trying to figure out what I’m going to do each day, I just know it and get to work.

Next month I think I’m going to do the same thing but I will focus on different aspects of the figure. Perhaps I will do portraits all month, or I could just focus on doing finished renderings of figures. Well, whatever I do I know it’s going to involve the human body.

The entire figure and some value done in 15 minutes. I’m getting faster, although this is not my goal it is very helpful with a live model.

There are some inconsistencies with my drawing today. I blame it partly on long breaks between several poses. After the 5 minute poses, we went and did a workout, then before the last 20 minute pose we had dinner. Usually my drawing keeps getting a little better with each pose but for tonight I lost that due to the long breaks in between.
