Ann: The Beginning

I was going to do more contour drawings but I decided to start on Ann’s painting because the canvas is ready.

I relied heavily on comparing my initial drawing with the photograph to get this far. I feel I could have used the photograph much less but I wanted to move this along faster without a lot of correction. From this point on though, I will observe the photograph and whatever happens will happen.

What went well?

The drawing has been started well.

What didn’t go so well?

I compared against the photograph too much.

What did I learn and/or how can I do better?

All the drawing I do doesn’t really translate well to drawing for a painting. I would like to do many more painting starts.
